Gemstone at NorthStar is a small Residential type B certified memory care home. Located North Central of San Antonio. We are set apart by a 27 year operational license and the longevity of our care staff.
Our 24/7 dedicated staff are trained to personalize Care to each individual resident. Our home-like setting is comforting and embraces your family as our own. Feel right at home!

NorthStar does not have restricted visiting hours. We just ask the family to be considerate of other residents.
NorthStar has a wide variety of activities geared toward engagement and socialization with our residents.
NorthStar’s staff has specified monthly training that includes dementia topics. Continuous training is imperative to the care of your loved one.
State regulations require all employees to be background check along with the employee misconduct registry.
Yes, you can continue to take your loved one to the doctor of your choice.
Yes, all administering medication undergoes a medication class delegated by a Registered Nurse.
Yes, NorthStar offers in house primary care.
Yes, NorthStar is licensed and regulated by the state of Texas.
Yes, all families will be able to use the hospice of their choice when the time comes to opt for hospice.
At this time NorthStar does not offer transportation, but we can help coordinate with wheelchair vans around the area. The cost will be at the residents expense.
